The Unstoppable Collection
Hedy Lamarr was the most beautiful woman in Hollywood.
That's what they said. That's mostly what they saw.
What they missed: during World War II, she co-invented a frequency-hopping signal system designed to make radio-guided torpedoes impossible to jam. The technology was decades ahead of its time. It became the foundation of WiFi, GPS and Bluetooth.
She received the title "Mother of WiFi" posthumously.
The patent had long expired by then.
