figurative art. But I was not happy with my work: It lacked depth and could be done by anyone – with a little practice 😉
Drawing called again, and I answered it.
I have no idea how it happened, but my first piece
was a self-portrait that I drew with my eyes closed,
letting my feelings guide me. Revelation! My
painting spoke of my wounds with disturging acuity,
prompting me to delve deeper into their healing.
In time, I extended this approach to friends, uncovering hidden wounds that sought recognition and needed to be addressed.
Today, I draw portraits of famous and unknown people, and they continue to reveal what needs to be.
Whether you are into art, fascinated by history, or intrigued by portraits of yourself, my creations resonate for a reason: It may be the uniqueness of my art, a shared pain with a stranger, or a desire to explore further into self-recovery.
Through my portraits, I strive to evoke intense emotion, relevance, and inspire viewers to connect with their inner selves, their hearts. It feels so intensely good!
